NOTE: Conflicting rehearsal schedules will not allow actors to be cast in both Mainstage shows; actors will be asked to indicate in which show they prefer to be cast at the audition.

NOTE FROM BRIANNA SLOANE, director of “The Comedy of Errors”:
Brianna encourages actors to make bold physical choices in their auditions. This will be a highly physical production inspired by Commedia dell’Arte. ALL GENDERS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ANY ROLE.

NOTE FROM JEFFREY FLOOD, director of “Julius Caesar” Mainstage:
Jeffrey encourages actors to focus on clarity in the audition: clarity of speech and clarity of meaning. Roles will be double- and triple-cast. THE GENDERS OF A NUMBER OF CHARACTERS HAVE BEEN CHANGED TO FEMALE: Shakespeare calls for only 2 women, but this production has opportunities for 12 WOMEN (including some of the conspirators) and 14 MEN. Some smaller roles will be filled by actors from the company’s youth production of “Julius Caesar”.
