We are generously hosted by The Arthur F. Kinney Center for Interdisciplinary Renaissance Studies, which is located at 650 East Pleasant St, Amherst, MA 01002.

The Renaissance Center is handicapped-accessible.  Chairs are provided, and audience members can also choose to sit on the grass. Picnicking is encouraged!

Weather/Rain Policy

As an outdoor theatre company committed to the safety of both audiences and performers, we may sometimes have to adjust for inclement weather. This may range from simple delays or holding the show to the complete cancellation of performances. Any cancellation decisions made prior to the show beginning will be announced on our Facebook page.

If someone has purchased a ticket prior to the performance and weather causes a cancellation, Rain Vouchers will be awarded to all present. These vouchers are redeemable for a ticket to any subsequent performance, including future seasons of Shakespeare Under the Stars. Additionally, if someone purchases a ticket for a cancelled performance and is not present on the given night to receive a Rain Voucher (whether it be because the show was cancelled in advance or they did not come and the show was subsequently cancelled), that person may present their ticket for the cancelled performance and receive free admission or a Rain Voucher.

This year, Hampshire Shakespeare Company does not have an alternative space, so in the event of rain, we may attempt to continue the performance if it is safe enough to do so. We recommend all audience members bring rain proof apparel but the company will have a few umbrellas and ponchos available for use.
