Founded in 1989, Hampshire Shakespeare Company is a community theatre located in the heart of the Pioneer Valley that strives to develop and maintain a diverse, mutually supportive core community of artists that draws from and gives to the greater Pioneer Valley community. With a focus on the understanding of text, we empower artists and audiences to engage with Shakespeare and related works through outdoor and indoor performance, education, and outreach.

Each summer Hampshire Shakespeare presents a season of Shakespeare Under the Stars, a trio of shows, including two main stage and one Young Company show, performed outdoors at the Arthur C. Kinney Center for Renaissance Studies. 

In addition to the summer season, Hampshire Shakespeare also presents great learning opportunities for children and youth through the Workshops at Williston and Young Company.
